In this time of COVID-19, the situation in the world is somewhat unprecedented. Most countries are in lockdown and some businesses have stalled. Physical contact with others is banned and breaching stay home notices has serious consequences. It is hard not to be scared and wonder when the world will become "normal" again. Even more worryingly, anyone you ask probably doesn’t have an answer. I am especially concerned about this pandemic, which has been escalating for months, because my father is a doctor working hard on the front lines. Many people have been hit close to home as well, having to worry for their family members who are healthcare workers and in direct contact with COVID-19 patients. I would like to say a big thank you to all the healthcare workers working tirelessly to contain the virus. The risk you are taking out of duty is something we are all very grateful for. All of you are the heroes of this pandemic.
For the past month, I have been staying at home doing home-based learning, essentially lessons online. While there were several inconveniences, I'm amazed at how easy it is to use online platforms such as Google Classroom and Google Meet to experience lessons. This stay-at-home period has also been a well-needed break for me. I'm grateful for the chance to work on my art and produce pieces like the one I drew for this project. As for life after COVID-19, I hope that the world will work together to make the transition out of a long period of isolation smooth. I hope that we can look back on this pandemic knowing that we conquered it. And like everyone else, I'm really looking forward to meeting up and going out with my friends and family 💖
